INFORMATION ABOUT ONE-ACT PLAY CONTEST:
Hurricanes Gustav and Ike have wrecked havoc with our play schedule, as it affected so many of our board members who either evacuated or were working as first responders. Therefore, the judging and finals of the Le Petit Theatre de Terrebonne playwriting contest have been postponed and will be rescheduled. We have not set a new date for the finals as yet, but most likely will be after Jan. 1.
We thank all the playwrights for their submissions to our contest and appreciate their understanding. The committee will contact the finalists as soon as judging has been completed.

To the Patrons of Le Petit Theatre de Terrebonne
From the Board of Directors

Dear Patrons:
We, the Board of Le Petit Theatre de Terrebonne, sincerely hope that the recent hurricanes have left you and your family with minimal damage and suffering. The two major storms have given everyone in our area a better, yet somber, understanding of the potential destruction of nature’s fury.
Like many other events in our community, the production of “Death by Chocolate” had to be postponed. Due to the volunteer status of all of our stage and production crews, “real jobs” and helping others in our community took priority over the play for many of our people.
The Board is happy to report that both productions scheduled for 2008 will go forward, just with new play dates. “Death by Chocolate” will open on October 22 and “Christmas Belles” will have its opening night on December 4. Due to other things previously scheduled in the community, each play will have “varied” play dates, but will have eleven performances, including at least one Saturday and two Sunday matinees. Both plays are light-hearted comedies that will hopefully help us all forget the problems we have endured over the last few weeks.
When you receive your letter announcing the upcoming plays, PLEASE make your reservations as soon as possible to assure that you will be on the attendance list for the performance you choose. Hoping you will be able to attend both productions, we remain,
Sincerely,
Your Board of Directors
